Albany State softball hits the road for three against Benedict

The Albany State softball team ( 30-6, 14-2 SIAC) heads to Columbia, SC for their last road trip of the regular season, as they will take on the Tigers of Benedict (26-15, 10-5, SIAC) in a three-game set over the weekend. A doubleheader is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, with the first pitch for Game 1 set for 1:00 pm EST and Game 2 scheduled to commence at 3:00 pm.

Sunday’s series ender gets going at 3:00 PM EST.

The last time the two squads faced of was on March 16, with Benedict coming away with the win, 16-10.

On the season, Tiana McFarland is leading the Golden Rams with a .511 batting average.  Madison Hurt is leading the Golden Rams with 49 hits on the season.  Keyatta Ayers has 46 hits.  Sydney Pettus lead the Golden Rams with 9 home runs and 34 RBIs.  Glory Seay is 2nd with 5 home runs.
