Although the Serbian national team will have NBA MVP Nikola Jokic back amongst its ranks, for other Serbian NBA players they will have to be spectators. Aleksei Pokusevski of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Nikola Jovic of the Miami Heat will not take part in the EuroBasket nor the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers, as their respective NBA did not give them the green light to participate. Names such as Tomas Satoransky, Jan Vesely, ad Vit Krejci may ring a bell for NBA fans, all the aforementioned players have NBA experience of various degrees, with Sato having the most successful NBA run out of the three, having played 388 games over six seasons and putting up career averages of 6.9 points, 3.3 assists and 2.3 over that time.
