Paige Bueckers is the most exciting and likely the best players and unfortunately for her UConn and even fans of college basketball she missed 19 games last season due to a a tibial plateau fracture and lateral meniscus tear. Now in a cruel twist of fate it appears the injury clock for Bueckers will keep on ticking away. Geno Auriemma responds Lebron James comments on late game call

Connecticut women’s basketball head coach Geno Auriemma responded to LeBron James about the controversial non-call late in the Huskies’ 69-67 win over Baylor in the Elite Eight on Monday. James tweeted that Connecticut should have been called for a foul on DiJonai Carrington’s last-second field-goal attempt: Auriemma told reporters James has never won a game in his career on a foul that wasn’t called “and decided to give it back because he looked at it and went, ‘That was a foul.’”

Nike pays homage to the UCONN Huskies’ record winning streak

With their 88-48 thrashing of SMU Saturday, the UCONN women’s basketball team posted their 91st consecutive win, which is now the longest such streak in NCAA basketball history.  To panegyrize this momentous accomplishment, Nike presented each member of the team with a special pack. This pack included the Kyrie 3 “Grey” colorway and a shirt saluting the 91 straight victories.  Unless you are a member of the Husky team, these pictures are likely as close as you will get to this pack.

  With their 63-53 victory over Notre Dame, the UCONN women’s basketball team, with Geno Aruiemma at the helm, claimed their 10 national title. For the Husky fans, the official T-shirt from Nike, available at nike.com at the conclusion of the title game. The navy shirt reads “TRADIO10N” in red across the front,and is inspired by Coach Auriemma’s favorite quote,”Tradition never graduates.
