Bethune-Cookman Tight End Kemari Averett declares fir NFL Draft

Bethune-Cookman tight end Kemari Averett is seeking to ply his trade at the next level. The Atlanta, GA native made the announcement Wednesday afternoon in a social media post in which he expressed his gratitude to the university, teammates and coaches.

Prior to coming to Bethune-Cookman, Averett spent two seasons at the University of Louisville, where he caught 15 passes for 144 yards and three touchdowns. In his first season with Bethune, Averett had 52 receptions for 888 yards and 10 touchdowns. This past season Averett hauled in 39 passes for 445 yards and 7 scores.

With his 6″6″ 250 pound frame, speed and versatility, will make him an appealing prospect to many NFL teams.
