The news of the latest, and slightly unexpected, return of the “Black Cement” III has been met with much fanfare.
This iteration aims to be a more faithful recreation of its 1988 progenitor, seeking to duplicate the shape, feel, and overall aesthetic and will even house the shoes in original packaging.
The 2024 iteration will feature the “Black Cement” aesthetic so many have come to love- a black leather upper with elephant print overlays at the toe and wrapping the heel. The aforementioned elephant on this version features a look closer to that seen in the 1988 original. A red Jumpman is perched atop the gray tongue, whilst on the rear heel, “NIKE AIR” branding can be seen.
A white midsole that houses visible Nike Air cushioning in the heel and a Nike Air branded tri-colored, cement grey, white, and red rubber outsole.
Per zsneakerheadz, the “Black Cement” Air Jordan is set to begin its sixth retail journey, it saw previous releases in 1988, 1994, 2001, 2009, 2012, and most recently, 2016, November 23 in full-family sizing.
