Grambling baseball sweeps doubleheader against Alcorn State

Courtesy of Curtis Ford, Grambling State Athletics GRAMBLING, La. | The Grambling State University baseball team earned two Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) victories in a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon, defeating Alcorn State 20-3 and 7-6 at Wilbert Ellis Field at R.W.E. Jones Park. Game 1 Grambling State (8-14 overall, 4-1 SWAC) dominated Alcorn State (1-17, 0-5) from start to finish in the opening contest. The Florida A&M Baseball (5-9, 0-0 SWAC) team is gearing up for a three-game home series against Florida Gulf Coast ( 12-2, 0-0 ASUN) this weekend at Moore-Kittles field. The first game takes place Friday afternoon , with first pitch scheduled for 5:00 PM EST. Saturday’s matchup is scheduled for 2:00 pm and the series finale on Sunday will begin at noon CST.
