Brooklyn Nets star guard Kyrie Irving made a difference for nine students at Lincoln University, an HBCU near Oxford, Pennsylvania founded April 29, 1854 that was the nation’s first degree granting Historically Black College and University. From Lincoln University Athletics: Nine Lincoln University student-athletes earned a 4.0 grade point average for the 2020 fall semester as the athletic department improved its cumulative GPA over the 3.0 mark for the first time as a Division II program. Eighty-four percent of the teams (11 of 13) recorded team grade point averages of 3.0 or higher. Albany State postpones start of Winter/Spring sports until March 2021
