Nike Basketball unveils 2020 Black History Month PEs

Nike Basketball has unveiled several PE’s for Black History Month. The grouping consists of the KD 12, Kyrie 6 , Lebron 17, PG 4 and the Zoom Freak 1. Each shoe is inspired by the street styles of the early 1990’s and African culture ( whatever that means). As these are PEs, a retail release seems unlikely, but these shoes will grace NBA courts, beginning January 20.

“Enlightenment” Nike Kyrie 6 has a release date

Originally dubbed “grand purple” this colorway of the Kyrie 6 is one that plays with the concept of perspective. The complementary colors of blue, green, red and yellow are inspired by the light filters on cameras, which can change the appearance of images and films, thereby altering their perception. An example of this can be seen with the heel eye graphic, which is more visible from certain angle. The “Enlightenment” is scheduled to release December 7 at select retail venues and nike.com. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Brooklyn Nets star guard Kyrie Irving will miss the team upcoming road trip following an evaluation on his shoulder by team doctors. The right shoulder impingement had already sidelined Irving for the Nets’ previous 4 games. In the 11 games Kyrie has played Brooklyn, he has averaged 28.5 points and 7.2 assists per contest.
