It is this latest tatic, that teams will employ to attempt to rest players and it is the reason the 76ers are claiming as to why center Joel Embiid will not play against the Orlando Magic. Raptors Anunoby to miss Blazers game with eye contusion

The Toronto Raptors announced small OG Anunoby will miss the team’s Wednesday game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Anunoby suffered an eye contusion in the team’s last game against the Los Angeles Clippers when former teammates Kawhi Leonard inadvertently poked him in the eye whilst the two were jockeying for position. Anunoby saw an eye specialist in Los Angeles but no timetable has been given for his return. Through the 10 games, Anunoby is averaging 11.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists and 30 minutes per game.

Gordon Hayward will be out six weeks after hand surgery

Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward left the team’s game against the San Antonio Spurs with an injured left hand after colliding with LaMarcus Aldridge. Hayward met with doctors and it was determined that surgery would be the best course of action. The Celtics announced a few hours later that Hayward underwent successful surgery and he would be out for six weeks. Caris LeVert to miss Jazz game with sprained thumb

Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Caris LeVert will miss the team’s Tuesday night game against the Utah Jazz with a sprained thumb, as reported by the New York Post’s Brian Lewis. Apparently LeVert hurt the thumb after taking a fall against the Phoenix Suns. It has only been nine games but LeVert has seen career-highs in points (16.9) , rebounds (5.0) and minutes (31.6).

Gordon Hayward to have hand surgery

Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward is having surgery on his injured left hand today, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Hayward injured his hand Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs. He had been playing well prior to his injury and was resembling the All-Star player that signed with the Celtics two years ago; through the first eight games he had averaged 18.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists on a scorching 55.5% from the floor, including 43.3% from downtown.

Nikola Jokic hits second game winner of the weekend

Shooting 9-23 is not a particularly efficient game but Nikola Jokic made the last of his makes from the field count as it proved to be the deciding bucket, lifting the Denver Nuggets to a 100-98 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. It was Jokic’s second game-winning shot in the last three days. On November 8, against the 76ers, his jumper in the waning seconds was the go ahead basket.
