Raptors Anunoby to miss Blazers game with eye contusion

The Toronto Raptors announced small OG Anunoby will miss the team’s Wednesday game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Anunoby suffered an eye contusion in the team’s last game against the Los Angeles Clippers when former teammates Kawhi Leonard inadvertently poked him in the eye whilst the two were jockeying for position. Anunoby saw an eye specialist in Los Angeles but no timetable has been given for his return. Gordon Hayward will be out six weeks after hand surgery

Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward left the team’s game against the San Antonio Spurs with an injured left hand after colliding with LaMarcus Aldridge. Hayward met with doctors and it was determined that surgery would be the best course of action. Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Caris LeVert will miss the team’s Tuesday night game against the Utah Jazz with a sprained thumb, as reported by the New York Post’s Brian Lewis. Gordon Hayward to have hand surgery

Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward is having surgery on his injured left hand today, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Hayward injured his hand Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs. He had been playing well prior to his injury and was resembling the All-Star player that signed with the Celtics two years ago; through the first eight games he had averaged 18.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists on a scorching 55.5% from the floor, including 43.3% from downtown.

Nikola Jokic hits second game winner of the weekend
