The Benedict College Tigers advanced to the next round of the SIAC tournament by defeating the Central State Marauders 70-66 in overtime. From the tip, it was a hotly contested affair throughout the first half. Central State used a 7-0 run late in the first half to give them a 36-30 lead heading into halftime. Morehouse advance to SIAC semifinals with 82-75 win over Fort Valley
Earlier today the Morehouse Maroon Tigers earned a spot in the SIAC tournament semifinals with a 82-75 victory over the Fort Valley State Wildcats. The Tigers’ efforts were spread eased by Keyshawn Jacobs and Jordan Wallace, combined for 36 points of the Morehouse bench. Wallace stepped up when it mattered most, scoring 18 of his game high 23 points in the second half, knocking down 7 of his 11 shots in the game’s second stanza. The sophomore guard poured in 27 points to lead the Golden Rams past the Thoroughbreds in the opening round of the SIAC tournament.
