CIAA Track News: Fayetteville State 4x400m posts NCAA Qualifying Time at Camel City Invitational

The Fayetteville State women’s 4x400m relay squad ran an NCAA DII Provisional Qualifying time of 3:52.92 at the Camel City Invitational in Winston-Salem, NC. The Bronco squad of Jessica McQueenTeanna BellQueen Burnett, and Tracy Idugboe carried the baton around the JDL Fast Track facility for a third-place finish behind Troy and Elon in Section 1. FSU is currently ranked 31st in Division II after surpassing the 3:53.36 standard.
 
M’Smrya Seward won the long jump with a leap of 5.84 meters (19-2) while Tiara Wilson ranked sixth overall in the triple jump with a distance of 11.08m (36-4.25)
 
In the seeded 400m, Teanna Bell finished fifth overall in 58.61 seconds from section #2. Jessica McQueen ran 58.96 seconds in section #3 for sixth place.
 
Malaysia Barber finished fifth in the open 400 meters in 1:00.80.
 
Fayetteville State will defend its back-to-back CIAA Indoor Championship title next Sunday, February 12th and Monday, February 13th when the Broncos return to the JDL Fast Track facility in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
