The Portland Trail Blazers continue to be the busiest team in the league as we head toward the NBA trade deadline. Having already traded wings Normal Powell and Robert Covington to the LA Clippers for questionable compensation ( Eric Bledsoe, Justice Winslow, Keon Johnson and a future 2nd round draft pick ), the Blazers are still at work and it seems that CJ McCollum’s time in the Rose City may be coming to an end.
According to the Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Trail Blazers and the New Orleans Pelicans are closing in on completing a deal that will send Portland’s best player to the Pelicans for Josh Hart and draft pixks.
Adrian Wojnarowski says the deal is close but there is work still to be done but the hopes is that the del can be completed today.
Whenever this deal is consummated, this will spell the end of an era in Portland. The question remains who could be the next domino to fall in Portland.
