Long before it was an euphemism for a man’s junk, “Eggplant” was simply a color that Nike trotted out for appearances on several silhouettes in the late 2000s into the early 2010s, making appearances on 1/2 cents, Pippen II, and most prominently, the Air Foamposite One.
This summer the LeBron IV was slapped with the eggplant.
This iteration of the Lebron IV will sport a eggplant Foamposite upper paired with black at the inner, ankle strap and tongue. Eggplant makes an additional appearance via the Swooshes on the medial side and toe, as well as the Alpha Project dots on the aforementioned strap.
Below resides a black midsole and a segmented translucent rubber outsole with black herringbone traction sections.
The ”Eggplant” Nike LeBron IV is slated to debut this summer. They will carry a whopping 250 USD sticker price.
