EuroBasket 2022: Lithuania beats Finland 76-61

Lithuania got an easy 76-61 win over Finland in the first prep game in which the NBA duo of Jonas Valanciunas and Domantas Sabonis was ready to play.

Team captain Valanciunas finished the night with eight points and six rebounds, Sabonis had 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists, while Knicks draftee Rokas Jokibaitis added six points and five assists.

Alexander Madsen with 16 points was the top scorer of the losing side, which trailed by 21 points (63-42) at the end of the third period.

Lithuania participates in EuroBasket Group B, which will be hosted in Cologne and, in addition to Germany, it will face France, Slovenia, Bosnia/Herzegovina, and Hungary.

On the other hand, Finland is in Group D which will be organized in Prague by the Czech Republic and will fight for qualification against Serbia, the Netherlands, Poland, and Israel.
