The player who can undoubtedly contribute the most for Olympiacos to overcome the potential loss of their best player is none other than Nikola Mirotic.
The Montenegrin star, who is leaving Barcelona, is at the top of the list, and although getting his is complicated, as Mirotic is already in demand, Olympiacos is determined to pursue him.
The first contacts have already been made, on the initiative of Mirotic! In other words, the player expressed his desire to discuss with Olympiacos the possibility of cooperation, as the status of the Greek club completely covers his competitive ambitions.
The fact that the EuroLeague finalists have become an attractive destination for the top players of the Euroleague offers Olympiakos reasonable hopes that if and when they are forced to replace Sasha Vezenkov, they will be able to acquire one of the biggest names circulating in the European basketball market.
Of course, in order to have substantial developments in the Mirotic case, the situation with Vezenkov must also be decided with the NBA buyout of the Bulgarian forward expiring on the 15th of July. And so far the Kings have not submitted their official offer to him, something that is expected to happen sooner than later.
