Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward left the team’s game against the San Antonio Spurs with an injured left hand after colliding with LaMarcus Aldridge.
Hayward met with doctors and it was determined that surgery would be the best course of action. The Celtics announced a few hours later that Hayward underwent successful surgery and he would be out for six weeks.
When he returns, the hope is that he can resume the level of play , which looked like the All-Star the team signed back in 2017, he exhibited in the first seven games. In those games he averaged 20.3 points, 7.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists, shooting 56.4 percent from the floor, including 44.3 from beyond the arc.
