Kevin Durant has signed a lifetime deal with Nike. The Phoenix Suns superstar made the announcement via his twitter account late Friday morning.
“When I first signed with Nike, I couldn’t have dreamed of how far we’d go in this partnership. We’ve done amazing work creatively and philanthropically. We’ve traveled the world together and built a business that will now last forever. I’m excited for the future and honored to be in rare company with this deal.”

The deal will include footwear, apparel and philanthropic contributions to grassroots basketball in conjunction with the Durant Family Foundation and his Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) program, Team Durant.
Durant professional ties( KD’s Montrose Christian HS and University of Texas were Jordan and Nike schools, respectively) to the brand stretches all the way to 2007 when he was a gangly, fresh-faced rookie with the Seattle Supersonics.
He joins Michael Jordan and LeBron James as the only basketball players with lifetime Nike deals.
