Sophie Cunningham is in the mix for the WNBA’s Sixth Woman of the Year award.
The Indiana Fever are putting their support behind Cunningham’s candidacy, and her production off the bench has been one of the team’s biggest weapons this season.

Her 8.4 off the bench ranks third in the league, trailing only the Valkyries’ Janelle Salaüm and Tiffany Hayes , who averages 12.9 and 8.9 , respectively. Cunningham’s 44.1% mark from downtown ranks third in the WNBA, giving Indiana a reliable perimeter threat that defenses must account for.
Her shooting has been particularly valuable for a Fever team built around elite offensive firepower. Cunningham has shown her ability to put the ball in the hole coming off the Fever’s pine, including a 20-point outing against the Las Vegas Aces in July when she knocked down six three-pointers.
