PE Corner: Check out the “Kansas Jayhawks” Adidas AE 1 Low

They sport a royal blue foundational layer overlaid with a marbled support cage on the lateral and medial sides. A red Three Stripes logo is seen on the rear heel, while “KANSAS” appears on the rear pull tab in the same font seen on the Jayhawks’ jerseys. The insoles read “ROCK” and “CHALK”, a reference to the “rock, chalk, Jayhawk, KU” cherry chanted by fans at KU games.  A semi-marbled white midsole can be seen as well as a marbled white and blue rubber outsole that rounds out the aesthetic. …

PE Corner: “Golden Medal” Adidas AE 1

This AE 1 was made for now Olympic gold medalist, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards. They sport a black textile upper paired with lustrous gold, with the same/ golden detailing appearing on the Adidas Three Stripes branding on the rear heel as well as the AE logo on the tongue.  Underneath resides a Boost-equipped Lightstrike midsole and a golden rubber outsole  As with the majority of the subjects of PE Corner, there are no indications, currently, of a retail release for these.  images via lovedrose16

Meet the Adidas AE 1

The first signature shoe of the best player on the Minnesota Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards ( yes, I said it), was introduced to the world recently. Called the AE 1, it sports a flexible knit upper with a molded TPU overlay designed with support in mind, while also providing ventilation. Edwards’ initials, “AE” appears on the tongue , along with Three Stripes branding on the rear heel.
