There seems to at least be modicum of anti-lunacy in Beaverton because the Air Penny III is coming back. “Eggplant” Nike Air Penny III: Official Images

The “Eggplant” Air Penny III originally released in 2010 and ten years later it appears it will make its return to retail later this year. In keeping in with its original aesthetic, it will feature a white leather upper with a eggplant lateral Foamposite wing. Black shows up on the tongue/inner bootie and pull tabs with a Penny logo present on the lower lateral ankle. It’s about damn time this shoe came back

After long last, an original colorway of the Air Penny 3 will return to retail. It has been eleven years since the white and varsity royal Air Penny III and that will change in 2021. Although there no images of the returning classic, it would stand to reason that it will do its best to remain true to its 1997 and 2009 forbears by sporting a white tumbled leather upper, with a royal lateral Foamposite wing.
