The career of Angel Jackson will continue across the pond.  Former Jackson State center signed a contract with Italian team Faenza Women’s Basketball. Faenza competes in Serie A, Lega Basket Femminile, which is Italy’s premier women’s basketball league.   Faenza ended the 2023-24 campaign with a 6-21 record.  Jackson started her collegiates career at USC before transferring to Jackson State for her final two amateur seasons. The NBA Draft is set to begin later this evening, but the Washington Wizards didn’t wait until the festivities began to make a move. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, and others, the Wizards have traded forward Deni Avdija to Th Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Malcolm Brogdon, the 14th overall pick in tonight’s Draft and a 2029 pick.
