In what is arguably the biggest win in program history, the Cougars of Chicago State defeated no. 25-ranked Northwestern 75-73, who themselves are coming off a 92-88 victory over then no.1 ranked Purdue.  After an opening three and a half minutes in which the teams exchanged the lead and featured three times, a three-pointer from Boo Brie put the Wildcats up 10-7 with 15:51 remaining in the first half. Courtesy of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Delaware State guard Martaz Robinson was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola. Delaware State guard Deywilk Tavarez was named Rookie of the Week, while Morgan State forward Allen Udemadu earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.  Robinson (G, 6-2, 180, Baltimore, Md.) averaged 21.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.0 steals while helping the Hornets to a 2-1 record.
