The Lady Tigers of Tennessee State led for 75.3 percent of the game and built a double-digit lead and seemed to be firmly in control of the game. Despite holding the Skyhawks to 23.5 % shooting (8-34) in the opening half, the Lady Tigers’ seeming inability to defend without fouling led to Martin shooting 22 free throws, connecting on 16. Alabama State quarterback Andrew Body plans to enter the transfer portal.
