Knicks move up to No.23 with trade with Jazz

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the New York Knicks and Utah Jazz have engaged in deal that will move the Knicks up in Wednesday’s NBA Draft. The Knicks are sending their No. 27 and No. 38 picks to the Jazz in exchange for the No. 23 picks. As icing on the cake, Utah is sending over the the draft rights to 2008 second-round pick Ante Tomic, 33, who is not expected to come to the NBA. The Knicks now have the No.8 and No. 23 selections.

“Discouraging” Pro Day could hurt Edwards’ draft stock

From Bleacher Report’s Rob Goldberg: Anthony Edwards has been considered a potential No. 1 pick for the 2020 NBA draft on Nov. 18, but his televised pro day on Oct. 29 might have hurt his stock. LSU freshman forward Naz Reid announced his plans to enter the 2019 NBA Draft. Reid took to Instagram to share his plans with the world: The 6’10” big averaged 13.6 points and 7.2 rebounds and helped the Tigers get to the Sweet 16 in the 2019 NCAA Basketball Tournament. Shaw University- an HBCU in Division II’s Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) -has Amir Hinton, one of the best players you’ve never heard of. The 6-foot-5 two guard from Philadelphia has been lighting up the CIAA to the tune of 29.4 ppg on an efficient 48.8 percent from the floor. If the Memphis Grizzlies are interested in Texas Center Mohamed Bamba, it appears the feeling may not be mutual. According to Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com: Bamba has refused to come to work out for Memphis, refused to share his medicals and has told them openly he would prefer not to be in Memphis. Bamba is projected to go anywhere from number 3 to the Hawks to number 6 to Orlando. If the Grizzlies select Bamba with the 4th pick, it could symbolize the end of the Conley-Gasol era in Memphis.
