Portland’s Zach Collins has dislocated shoulder, MRI forthcoming

The Portland Trail Blazers were able to leave Dallas with a 121-119 victory but they did not make it out of town unscathed. Zach Collins dislocated his left shoulder while battling for a rebounds late in the third quarter and did not return to the ballgame. Yesterday the New Orleans Pelicans announced that rookie sensation Zion Williamson would not play in the team’s preseason finale today against the New York Knicks due knee soreness. Warriors to sign Marquese Chriss

Marquese Chriss has reached an agreement with the Golden State Warriors. According to Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes, the 8th overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, has agreed on a one year deal. After being traded from the Houston Rockets to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Chriss’ scoring tripled ( from 1.8 ppg to 5.7 ppg ) and his rebounds and minutes increased ( 1.8 rpg to 4.2 rpg and 6.5 mpg to 14.6 mpg).

Joe Johnson’s domination of the BIG3 caught the attention of several NBA teams, and multiple teams brought him in for a workout. The Detroit Pistons reached an agreement with the 7-time NBA All-Star earlier Thursday. While this is good news for the 38-year Johnson, for Micheal Beasley it means that his NBA journey will have to continue with another ballclub as he will be waived to make room for Johnson.
