Tennessee State linebacker James Green was named the OVC-Big South Defensive Player of the Week. The Tennessee State Tigers were able claim victory in the 34th Southern Heritage Classic with a 24-14 win over Arkansas Pine Bluff and Green played a major role in the games’ outcome.
