Monday the NBA announced the Players of the Week for the first week of the season. Jayson Tatum was named Eastern Conference P.O.T.W., while Damian Lillard took honors for the Western Conference. Damian Lillard, Portland Trail Blazers, Western Conference Damian Lillard led the Portland Trail Blazers to a surprising 3-0 opening week. In victories over the Kings, Suns and Lakers, Lillard put 34.0 ppg, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists on .471/.364/.929 splits.
