Courtesy of Tennessee State Athletics NASHVILLE – Set to begin spring practice this week, the Tennessee State football team and head coach Eddie George have announced that the spring game will be played at 3:30 p.m. on April 15 at Hale Stadium. This will be coach George’s second spring with the Tigers, as he enters his third year as the head coach. Tennessee State defensive back Darius Harper was named Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The senior had his fingerprints all over the Tigers’ 22-14 win over Texas A&M Commerce. What he accomplished in just the first half alone, would have been enough to garner Harper the weekly DPOY honours. Harper had an interception on the first play from scrimmage, which he returned 28 yards for a touchdown. Saturday Eddie George and the Tigers of Tennessee State University seek to end this uneven season with a win when they face Texas A&M Commerce.
