Bethune-Cookman defeats Jackson State 36-15 in MEAC/SWAC Challenge

In a game that featured a penalty-drawing mascot, Bethune-Cookman used an opportunistic second half to pull away from Jackson State 36-15 in the MEAC/SWAC Challenge Sunday from “s—k on that UT” , aka Georgia State Stadium. The first half was offensively quiet, with the only changing of the scoreboard was a 25 yard field goal from JSU’s Adrian Salazar at the 12:35 mark of the first quarter. Southern to end camp with scrimmage Saturday

The Delta Devils had their first full inter squad scrimmage of the season this Saturday during the team’s practice. Head football coach Vincent Dancy seemed to be cautiously optimistic about what he saw on the field. Here is what he had to say post-practice : “Overall, it wasn’t bad.
