Ed Reed to become Bethune-Cookman’s next head coach

Bethune-Cookman has reached an agreement in principle to make NFL Hall of Fame player Ed Reed the University’s 16th head football coach. The University made the announcement Tuesday evening. Jackson State’s Jason Mercier declares for NFL Draft

Jason Mercier is the latest Jackson State footballer to either enter the transfer portal or declare for the NFL draft. The senior defensive line announced Sunday evening that he will now seek to make his NFL dreams a reality.
