NASHVILLE– For the second time this season, Kennedy Davis was named the Ohio Valley Conference’s Defensive Player of the Week, voted on by the OVC’s sports information directors. Davis racked up 19 rejections in 11 sets, including eight on Saturday. Her efforts have moved her up to second in the OVC in blocks per set. Davis was named to the same honor on September 25.

“We pride ourselves on being tough around the net, and Kennedy takes it personally,” said head coach Donika Sutton. “She did this last year for us as well. To be named twice is huge for us. I am very happy for her.”

Her honor is the second in as many weeks for the Tigers. Libero Celianiz Cabranes was named Freshman of the Week by the conference.

The Tigers will be back on the road on Friday and Saturday for a weekend series against SIUE.
