Due to a cancelation from Lindenwood, the Tennessee State women’s basketball game on Saturday, Jan. 28 has been deemed a no-contest in favor of the Tigers. The game will not be made up due to Lindenwood not having enough available players.
With the cancelation, the men’s basketball contest will now be played at 2 PM at the Gentry Center. Broadcasts will still air on ESPN+ and 102.1 FM The Ville.
Per Conference policy, for purposes of the league standings and tiebreakers, the games will count as a forfeit. Lindenwood will receive an OVC loss while Tennessee State will be credited with the victory in the league standings.
Per NCAA policy, for the purposes of record keeping (team overall record, coach record, statistics, etc.) the game is considered a no-contest.
After Lindenwood, TSU visits SEMO on Thursday for a 5 PM (WBB) and 7 PM (MBB) doubleheader. Both games will stream live on ESPN+ and the men’s game will air on 102.1 FM.
Following Thursday’s contest in Cape Girardeau, Mo., women’s basketball will sit idle until Feb. 2 at Southern Indiana and will return to the Gentry Center on Thursday, Feb. 9 at 5:30 PM against SEMO.
