Tyson Foods donated $10,000 to the Albany State University Golden Rams baseball team to celebrate the team’s participation in the 2022 Black College World Series.  Tyson Foods was the first title sponsor of the event and indicated that they are looking forward to helping grow and promote HBCU baseball in the coming years.

“I would like to thank Mr. John Tyson and Tyson Foods for their generosity.  Tyson’s acknowledgement of our participation in the Black College World Series is meaningful.  The $10,000 contribution will make a difference in Golden Rams Baseball,” said AD Tony Duckworth.

“I would like to sincerely thank Tyson Foods for their generosity and kindness in the giving of such a large donation to our baseball program.   This amount of money will be extremely helpful in giving our players a great student/athlete experience.  I would also like to thank Michael Coker.  Without his hard work and dedication, none of this would have been possible.  I am truly humbled by Tyson Foods and what they have done for us this season,” said Head Coach Scot Hemmings
