Uh-oh.
The New Orleans Pelicans announced that Zion Williamson will be our six to eight weeks after suffering a tear in his right lateral meniscus.
He did not make the trip to New York for the team’s last preseason game against the New York Knicks for what was termed at the time “knee soreness.”
As far as torn things in knees go, the meniscus is the easiest one to come back from. The recovery time is a fraction of an ACL and given his age, he should make a full recovery and retain his athleticism. However, considering how massive he is, Williamson may want to consider slimming down to preserve his body long term.
