Jackson State’s Robert McDaniel named to Shrine Bowl 1000 List

Courtesy of Jackson State Athletics Jackson State senior defensive back Robert McDaniel was recognized by the East-West Shrine Bowl, being named to the Shrine Bowl 1000. The list recognizes the top 1,000 seniors heading into the 2024 season. McDaniel, a transfer from Alcorn State, totaled 30 tackles for the Braves as a defensive back in 2023 with 21 solo stops. He also recorded a pair of tackles for loss. McDaniel accounted for six turnovers last season causing three fumbles and was among the league leaders with three interceptions. UAPB to add Women’s Golf

UAPB will soon initiate a search committee to begin the recruitment process for a head coach, who will in turn recruit student-athletes to compete in the inaugural fall 2025-26 season. After being in the vault for over a decade, the “Black Toe” Air Jordan XIV is primed to make its latest retail return. North Carolina Central tennis receives ITA Academic Awards

Courtesy of NC Central Athletics The North Carolina Central University men’s and women’s tennis teams were recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association as Division I All-Academic Teams for the 2023-24 season. The criteria for receiving ITA All-Academic Team honors include a team qgrade point average of 3.2 or above. In 2024, 176 men’s programs and 255 women’s programs earned this team distinction.
