The WNBA has announced its Kia Players of the Month, recognizing two of the league’s most dominant performers during August.
Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell captured Eastern Conference honors after averaging 27.2 points, 2.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. Mitchell continued to provide explosive scoring for the Fever, helping power one of the WNBA’s top offenses as the regular season enters its final stretch.
In the Western Conference, A’ja Wilson added another accolade to her stellar campaign. The Las Vegas Aces superstar averaged 28.3 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game, showcasing the elite two-way play that has made her one of the league’s premier players.
Both stars have been instrumental in keeping their teams among the league’s contenders and continue to build impressive résumés as the postseason approaches.
With playoff positioning becoming increasingly important, Mitchell and Wilson appear poised to remain at the center of the WNBA’s biggest storylines through the remainder of the season.
