Albany State Softball to take on Georgia Southwestern

The Golden Rams softball team will travel to Americus, Georgia to play the Georgia Southwestern University Hurricanes, on April 20.  This will be the Golden Rams first game since Sunday, April 10.
  
The Golden Rams are 30-4 (14-2 in the SIAC) while the Hurricanes are 27-18 overall.  The Golden Rams are 10-2 on the road while the Hurricanes are 14-6 at home.  The Golden Rams have won 16 out of their last 17 games.  The Golden Rams and Hurricanes last played on February 24, 2021.  On that day, the Hurricanes shut out the Golden Rams (22-0).
 
The Hurricanes have played 45 total games.  They have scored 258 runs.  As a team, the Hurricanes have a batting average of .293 with an on base percentage of .392.  The Hurricanes have also hit 39 home runs this season.
 
Tiana McFarland is leading the Golden Rams with a .585 batting average.  Madison Hurt is leading the Golden Rams with 49 hits on the season.  Keyatta Ayers has 45 hits.  Sydney Pettus lead the Golden Rams with 9 home runs and 34 RBIs.  Glory Seay is 2nd with 5 home runs.
 
The Golden Rams will play their final 3-game series of the season when they travel to Columbia, South Carolina to play Benedict College, on April 23-24.
