Bowling Green reportedly targeting Eddie George to be their next head coach

According to reporting from Pete Thamel of ESPN, Tennessee State head coach Eddie George is being targeted by Bowling Green to fill their head coach vacancy after the departure of head coach Scott Loeffler. Loeffler abruptly left the program on February 28 after six seasons, compiling a 27-41 record and leading the Falcons to bowl games the past three seasons to become quarterbacks coach with the Philadelphia Eagles.  Coach George has helmed the Tennessee State program for the past four seasons. Tennessee State defeats Lindenwood 69-55 in OVC Quarters

Tennessee State’s Brian Collins finalist for Ben Jobe Award

image via Tennessee State Basketball Tennessee State men’s head coach Brian “Penny” Collins was named to the finalist list for the 2024-25 Ben Jobe Award.  In his seventh season helming the Tennessee State basketball program, Coach Collins led the Tigers to a 16-15 overall and 12-8 record thin the OVC, which was the best conference mark during his tenure at TSU. Tennessee State finished the regular season on a high note with a nearly wire-to-wire 74-69 defeat of Southern Illinois.  Southern Illinois took an early 3-0 lead on Ryan Hall’s three-pointer on the Screaming Eagles and the contest’s opening possession.
