It was a night of easy work for the Slovenian national team as they cleaned up Estonia 104-83. In the first ten minutes of the game, Luka Dončić put a game’s worth of production for some players, racking up 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Behind not shooting and a big game from Kristaps Porzingis, Latvia obliterated Turkey, 111-85. Kristaps Porzingis led all scorers with 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and Latvia connected on 20 of their 35 three-point attempts (57%) and led by as much as 31 points in the victory. Chet Holmgren out for the year, will the League limit player activities?

Unfortunately, for Oklahoma City Thunder, and possible basketball fans as a whole, the wait to see the triumvirate of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Josh Giddey and Chet Holmgren share the court in an NBA game will have to wait one more year.  Holmgren, the no.2 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, will miss the entire 2022-23 season with a lisfranc injury. France tipped off their second stage of 2023 World Cup Qualifiers in resounding fashion by laying a 95-60 smack down on the Czech Republic. Despite being without Tomas Satoransky, Jaromir Bohacik and Vit Krejci, the Czech Republic carried a 42-38 lead into the half, but the French defense choked out the Czech offense in the second half, only allowing 18 points. Tennessee State OL Lacey named to 2023 Senior Bowl watchlist

Tennessee state senior offensive lineman Robert Lacey was named to Reese’s Senior Bowl preseason watch list. The Blount High School (AL) played at left guard for all his appearances last season for the Tigers and helped the run game average 114.7 yards per game and average 75% in the red-zone. The Senior Bowl has been around since 1950 and has produced 55 NFL Hall of Fame players.
