Tennessee State women’s hoops takes down SIUE, 77-58

The Tennessee State Lady were able to force 23 SIUE turnovers as they were able to defeat the Cougars 77-58 Saturday afternoon.  Tennessee State scored first taking an early 2-0 lead on Lyric Cole’s jumper. SIUE would briefly tie the game on Brianna Woodbridge’s layup The Lady Tigers quickly reclaimed the advantage, a position they would enjoy for the majority of the period, going up by as much as 7 points. In the Los Angeles Lakers’ recent game against the Brooklyn Nets, LeBron James broke out these special edition LeBron XXII.  Made for his alma mater, St. Vincent_St-Mary, thye feature a green upper with black forming the Swoosh on the lateral side and wrapping around to the medial side. This upcoming Curry 12 features a mismatched look , with both featuring an engendered mesh gradiented upper that transitions from white to blue on the left and red to orange on the right. Norfolk State women’s track claims wins at Division I Pre-Nationals

Junior Brooklyn Robinson picked up a win in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 8.38. She also placed third place in the 60 meters (7.63) and 18th in the long jump (16-6.25). The no.1 defensive team in the Ohio Valley Conference, Eastern Illinois, held Tennessee State to sub 40% in three of four quarters as the Panthers handily defeated Tennessee State 69-49 Thursday night.  The Panthers controlled the first quarter, trailing in the period. Police in Lorman, MS, will need to speak with the crowd at the Davey L. Whitney Health & Physical Education Complex, as Monday night they were witness to a massacre.
