For MEAC men’s basketball teams Wednesday it was a collective trip to the woodshed, as not a single team from the conference registered a win. Losses ranged from Morgan State’s 7-point fall to Mount St. Mary’s to the 62-point thrashing Illinois laid on North Carolina A&T. Longtime SC host Trey Wingo leaves ESPN

from Tim Baysinger of thewrap.com: One of ESPN’s longtime faces is leaving the network. Trey Wingo, who hosted “SportsCenter” and the network’s NFL Draft coverage over a two-decade tenure, is exiting the network after his contract was not renewed. The decision not to re-up Wingo’s contract came as part of ESPN’s massive job cuts, the New York Post reported earlier this month(the NY Post also reported back in September that Wingo was being let go). The host’s departure was not confirmed until today, which is also his last day at the network.…

Klay Thompson has successful surgery on Achilles

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thomspson underwent a successful procedure to repair his ruptured Achilles’ tendon. While the injury suffered by Thompson is an abominable turn of events for both he personally and the Warriors, we, like the rest of the basketball world, are wising Klay a speedy recovery and look forward with great anticipation to the day when the Splash Brothers will be made whole once more.

Indianapolis’ NBA All-Star Weekend postponed to 2024

From nba.com: NEW YORK — The NBA and the Indiana Pacers announced today that NBA All-Star in Indianapolis, which was originally scheduled for Feb. 12-14, 2021, will now be held Feb. 16-18, 2024.  Public health conditions prevented the Pacers, the NBA All-Star Host Committee and the NBA from appropriately planning and executing fan-focused All-Star activities in Indianapolis that were envisioned for this February. Ravens-Steelers game moved to Sunday

Wednesday the National Football League announced that the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers game that was initially set to be played on Thanksgiving has now been pushed back to Sunday. The League had this to say in a statement: “This decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the health and safety of players, coaches and game day personnel and in consultation with medical experts,”  The NFL has had to move several games around this season due to COVID-19 concerns and positive tests and this Steelers-Ravens game…

Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers: Thieving twosome takes sneakers, threatens employee with knife

Columbia, Maryland is the setting for the latest edition of Stupid Things People Do For Sneakers. An employee at a DWS allegedly saw two females stealing a pair of shoes. When he confronted them, one of them pulled and threatened said employee with a knife before absconding with the footwear. The alleged thieves were two back females, both with medium builds. One was wearing a green jacket with black pants, while the other was wearing a pink shirt, black jacket and yoga pants. No one was harmed in the theft…

To compete with the GOATs and the StockXs of the world. eBay recently launched their own authentication service for luxury watches and sneakers.
