As the Indiana Pacers are conducting their head coaching search following the highly questionable firing of Nate McMillan, according to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer, a candidate may have separated himself from the pack. Former Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy and current L.A.Clippers assistant and former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach, Tyronn Lue are amongst four finalist for the vacant opening for the New Orleans Pelicans head coach job, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Could the Rockets want that old thing back? According to the New York Times’ Marc Stein the team is scheduled to interview Jeff Van Grundy Wednesday. This would be Van Gundy’s second go-around with the team; he coached them from 2003-07, making the playoffs in three of his four seasons.
