Three HBCUs get votes in the Stats Perform FCS Preseason Top 25 Poll

The Stats Performed FCS Preseason Top 25 Poll was released and three HBCUs- Florida A&M, North Carolina Central, and Alabama State all received votes.  Last season the Rattlers of Florida A&M 12-1 (8-0) as the SWAC and the Celebration Bowl champions. They ended the 2023 campaign ranked 11th in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 poll. FAMU received 65 votes in the preseason poll, placing the Rattlers 30th. These Kobe IV Protros were made for Sacramento Kings power forward and Canadian national team member Trey Lyles. They feature a red, predominantly leather upper with Flywire-equipped side panels. On the aforementioned side panels reside white snake-scaled textured Swooshes. A Kobe logo appears on the tongue, while a Maple Leaf, the national symbol of Canada, can be seen on the rear heel. The preseason accolades keep piling up for Howard University defensive back Kenny Gallop Jr. Already previously named to four preseason All-America teams, the senior defensive back was named to the Phil Steele FCS Preseason All-America Team.
