Tarik Cohen retires from football, ends comeback bid

Despite him saying he “definitely” feels all the way back earlier this week, former North Carolina A&T running back Tarik Cohen has announced his retirement from the game of football.  After a stellar career at NCAT that saw him leave as MEAC’s all-time leading rusher with 5,619 yards, while also setting school records for rushing touchdowns (56), total touchdowns (59), and points, Cohen was drafted in the 4th round, 119th overall, by the Chicago Bears in the 2017 NFL Draft. We recently highlighted Jewell Loyd rocking a red iteration of the “USA” Kobe IV Protro in Olympic action and now fellow Olympian and two-time NBA Champion Jrue Holiday was spotted in a white-based iteration of these Kobes.  Its white upper is spread across a combination of leather and FlyWire-equipped side panels. When it was released in 2015, the “Shattered Backboard” Air Jordan 1 High OG was extremely well-received and remains a very sought-after piece of footwear.  At this juncture, there are no images of the 2025 iteration, but what we should see is an Air Jordan 1 High OG that sports starfish at the toe, overlaid with black in “Black Toe” styled color blocking. Tyrese Haliburton was seen in a navy-based iteration of the Sabrina 2 and the sneaker’s namesake herself took to the court in a predominantly white look.  It sports a largely white mesh upper with metallic red Swooshes on the lateral and medial sides. The classic “UNC” Air Jordan I is the latest original colorway that will get the “Reimagined” treatment.  According to zsneakerheadz, the “UNC Reimagined” Air Jordan I High OG will be housed in special packaging similar to that of the “Lost & Found” Air Jordan I High OG, however the color of the box will be inverted. Chicago Bulls announced their 2024-25 preseason schedule

The Chicago Bulls have released their preseason schedule. The five-game tilt features two road games and three at the friendly confines of the United Center.  Things get started with a Tuesday, October 8 road matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Next is playing host to the Memphis Grizzlies on October 12.  October 14 the Bulls will be the guests of division foe Milwaukee Bucks. The “Halo” Kobe IX Elite Protro is a new colorway of the well-received Kobe IX Elite that is slated to release this summer. Conceived as a tribute to the late, great Kobe Bryant, these sport an angelic all-white Flyknit upper with all branding and markings also appearing in white. Las Vegas Aces star and current Olympian Aja Wilson unveiled a Player Exclusive edition of the LeBron XXI. The USA themed sneaker sports a white upper with a navy bordered red portion that forms the shape Swoosh on the lateral side. Navy also shows up on the LeBron signature on the lateral side.
