Fort Valley wins rainy inaugural Florida Beach Bowl 23-13 over Johnson C. Smith

Fort Valley City State was able to take an early lead and then largely control the Johnson C. Courtesy of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Delaware State guard Martaz Robinson was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola. Delaware State guard Deywilk Tavarez was named Rookie of the Week, while Morgan State forward Allen Udemadu earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.  Robinson (G, 6-2, 180, Baltimore, Md.) averaged 21.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.0 steals while helping the Hornets to a 2-1 record.
