Saint Augustine’s University, Shaw University and Academy Sports + Outdoors donated $5,000 in gift cards to two local youth programs earlier this month. The Wake County Boys & Girls Club and the Capital City Steelers Junior/Peewee Football Team each received a $2,500 gift card to Academy Sports + Outdoors in Apex, N.C. The gift cards enabled the youth programs to buy new equipment, gear, apparel, footwear and other school items.
