Prairie View announces Coach Dailey’s media availability for Monday of Labor Day Classic week

From Prairie View A&M athletics: PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Prairie View A&M athletics announced media availability for head football coach Eric Dooley on Monday ahead of the Labor Day Classic. Dooley will begin the day with his weekly press conference at 10 a.m. in the Prairie View A&M Athletics Administration Building. Tuskegee Football held first scrimmage of the season

From goldentigersports : Two weeks before facing Alabama State in its season opening game in Montgomery, The Tuskegee University football team held its first scrimmage Saturday morning, working just over two hours at Cleve L. Abbott Memorial Alumni Stadium. The Golden Tigers were able to get a good evaluation of where they are after the first full week of camp. TU will be off on Sunday before returning to the practice field Monday afternoon. Florida A&M’s Isaiah Martin signs with CSM Galati

Romanian basketball team CSM Galati signed former FAMU center and alum Isaiah Martin. In the three games Martin played in the Eurobasket Summer league, considered the top international summer league, he averaged 5.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals per contest. In the 18 games he played for the Rattlers, Martin put up 9.4 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game and was named to the National Association of Black Coaches (NABC) NCAA D1 All-Dsitrict Team.

Kentucky State’s David Jelks signs with Argentinian pro basketball team

Jelks (Conyers, GA) becomes the third Thorobred in the Jamaal Jackson era to sign a professional basketball contract.
