Albany State blanks Benedict 21-0, Captures SIAC East

From asugoldenrams.com: Columbia, SC-  The Albany State University football team extended their win streak to six games with a 21-0 shutout of Benedict College Saturday afternoon at C.W. Johnson Stadium. It is ASU’s first shutout since their 38-0 Homecoming win over Morehouse in 2015. Returning to the confines of historic Hugh Mills Stadium for the first time in over ten years, Albany State won its fifth game in row by rolling over Clark-Atlanta 36-3 in ASU’s homecoming game. It was the Albany State special teams that got things going for the Golden Rams. Albany State gives Morehouse first loss of season 41-19

Albany State’s quarterback Kelias Williams had a career day. He completed 16 of 18 passes  for a career high 254 yards and three touchdowns as the Golden Rams defeated Morehouse 41-19, giving the Marron Tigers their first loss of the season. Albany State took a 3-0 lead on Gabriel Ballinas’ 47-yard field goal with 2:47 left in the first quarter. The Tuskegee Golden Tigers earned a hard fought victory at Wildcat Stadium 17-6. It was the home team Fort Valley that got the scoring going late in the opening quarter when Abisai Gutierrez knocked through a 33-yard field goal to put the Wildcats up 3-0. Tuskegee took the lead on their first possession of the second quarter when Ahmad Deramus connected with Kendall Calvin for a four yard touchdown pass. It was Calvin’s first touchdown of the season.
