Morehouse v Albany State pushed back to Sunday due to Hurricane Micheal

Morehouse’s (6-0, 2-0 SIAC) athletics department announced earlier today that its SIAC eastern division opening game versus Albany State(3-3, 2-0 SIAC) that was originally scheduled for Saturday, October 13 has been pushed back to Sunday, October 14 because of the damage in Albany caused by Hurricane Michael. Kickoff will now be at 1:00 p.m. EST at B.T. Harvey Stadium on Morehouse’s campus. The contest will also be streamed live on FloSports, with the pregame starting at 12:45.

Albany State defeats Catawba College 35-21

The Albany State offense racked up 500 yards of total offense on their way to squaring their record at 3-3 by defeating Catawba College 35-21 at Shuford Stadium in Salisbury, North Carolina. The Golden Rams offense came out of the gate razor sharp, scoring on their first two possessions. The first drive traveled 72 yards in a mere 6 plays and ended when Kelias Williams connected with Chris Hunt on a 17-yard touchdown pass. The PAT was not converted, leaving the score 6-0. Albany State downs Miles 30-24

Saturday’s game between the Albany State Golden Rams and the Golden Bears of Miles College started at 8:05, a little more than an hour later than its scheduled 7p.m. kickoff time due to lightning and heavy rain. Once the game got going, Albany State, powered by their rushing attack, which racked up 303 yards on the evening, was able to defeat Miles 30-24.
