Albany State Lady Golden Rams fall to Tuskegee in overtime, 70-65

Image via Albany State Athletics Despite Albany State Lady Golden Rams leading for over half the game (57.2%) and forcing 33 turnovers, it proved not enough, as ASU fell in overtime to Tuskegee, 70-65.  The first quarter was a close affair that saw four ties and 5 lead changes. Isaiah Knowles commits to FAMU

In a development that should surprise no one, former Albany State quarterback Isaiah Knowles has committed to Florida A&M.  Knowles announced his next collegiate landing spot in a post on X that was captioned “COMMITTED 🐍.” This season Knowles completed 177 of 286 passes for 2,151 yards 18 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He helped guide the Golden Rams to a 12-2 overall record and an undefeated 8-0 run through the SIAC on the way to the program’s 16th SIAC championship. The field for the 2025 Division II Football Playoffs was announced and 5 HBCUs were amongst the 32-team field.  Albany State Golden Rams ( 10-1, 8-0)  The Golden Rams of Albany State are the No.1 seed in Super Region 2. Albany State won the SIAC Championship by defeating Benedict 22-16 on Saturday and claimed the automatic bid that went along with it. Early on it appeared that this matchup was on the way to mirroring their meeting earlier in the season in which Albany Star came away with a dominant 31-3 win.
